The humble undo button and why strategy games need it
Fat fingers ruin more strategy runs than bad tactics do. On a phone, a misplaced tap can end a carefully built plan in one accidental move.
Ironhold Tactics solves this by letting you undo a move before you commit it. It's not cheating — you still can't take back an attack — it just removes the input frustration.
Designers sometimes leave this out for the sake of 'purity', but there's nothing pure about losing to a slip of the thumb. Good touch strategy respects the hardware.
When you're shopping for a new tactics game, check the options menu for a confirm-before-move toggle. Its presence tells you the developers actually played on a phone.
