Ironhold Tactics

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Ironhold Tactics drops you onto tight hex maps and asks you to think three turns ahead. Each unit has a clear role, and the fog-of-war means scouting matters as much as fighting.

What I like is how readable it stays on a small screen. Ranges glow, threat zones are colour-coded, and you can undo a move before you commit — a small mercy that keeps frustration low.

The campaign ramps hard around chapter six, so newcomers should lean on the well-designed tutorial skirmishes. Once it clicks, it's the sort of thing you replay just to try a leaner army.
