Embersong Legacy
★★★★★ 4.7
Embersong Legacy is the kind of RPG that respects a phone screen. Battles are turn-based and compact, but the tactics run deep — elemental chains, position swaps, and a stagger system that rewards patience over button-mashing.
The story surprised me. It opens like a standard 'lost heir' setup and then quietly becomes about the people around the hero rather than the hero. Character conversations unlock as you level bonds, and skipping them feels like a mistake.
Grinding exists but it's optional. If you learn the stagger timing you can beat most bosses under-levelled, which kept me engaged far longer than the usual number-inflating fare.
